We are pleased to announce our 2021 Holiday Sensory Outreach Event will be held on Saturday December 18, 2021, from 11am-1pm at Dezerland Park in Orlando, FL.
*Our event venue space in Dezerland will be free admission.
As we return to face-to-face sensory events, we decided this year to have one catered towards children of all ages, rather than our previous event venues that limited children’s admission to the age of 12. We will have sensory activities and resources for parents with children on the Autism Spectrum. Even Santa will be stopping by with sensory toys for our kids that morning.
Dezerland Park is a large venue that will be accommodating us that morning with music turned lower near our venue space to help support our sensory event needs. There is so much to see there for everyone. The climate-controlled park offers 850,000 sq. ft of indoor fun with 17 cool activities that attendees of our sensory day event can have discount tickets to, including:
• Florida's largest Indoor Karting Track
• One of the world's largest Auto Museums, including the world's largest James Bond collection of movie vehicles, planes, and memorabilia
• One of Florida's largest video arcades
• Florida's largest pinball collection and arcade
• 20,000 sq ft Trampoline Park
• Axe Throwing
• Glow-in-the-dark Mini Golf
Our son who is on the spectrum has enjoyed the Dezerland’s auto museum, especially seeing the Batman collection and movie car rooms. He also was able to try go-karting on the cadet track that is smaller and designed for new drivers. The attendants were wonderfully patient with him and it was designed to give him a great experience.
Our goal this year was to make this event one that the whole family could attend, so we chose Dezerland Park; which is known as “The Ultimate Man-Cave for the Family!”
So please join us this holiday season.
